Patient Advocacy Specialist (Patient Insights)

Overview

The Patient Advocacy Specialist will support the development of IQVIA network of patient organisations across the EMEA region and contribute to the development of strategic collaborations between IQVIA and patient organisations, with a special focus on patient insights.

The role entail developing strategic initiatives between patient organisations and IQVIA teams to include patient voice in the drug development process and to increase patient community representation in research projects (e.g. clinical trials, primary market research and patient support programmes).

Being part of the Patient Advocacy CoE will allow you to contribute on the establishment of patient-led research to accelerate drug development and access to innovative treatments for patients, which will ultimately help improving their QoL.

What you’ll be doing

Researching potential patients and patient organisation collaborators across Europe and Africa, identifying and assessing potential partnership opportunitiesAssisting in the design, structure, and completion of patient voice related collaborations with patient organisationsContributing to patient voice primary data research (mainly qualitative) – namely in the preparation of interview guides, moderation, analysis and report writingSupporting engagement of patients and patient organisations, including stakeholder relationship managementSupporting client engagement and coordination of patients and patient organisation involvement in project deliveryWorking with IQVIA teams for patient voice related opportunities (e.g. liaising between patient organizations and IQVIA teams and prepare patient insights to support business development)Monitoring and tracking of metrics, KPIs and activities of the Patient Advocacy CoEProactively developing your knowledge of patient advocacy and its application for IQVIA research and the life science industry, keeping the team up to date with latest thought leadership

Who you are

Essential

A university degree holder, preferably in life sciences, economics/business, sociology, psychology, or marketingMinimum 3 years of experience in Qualitative Primary Market Research, preferably within the charity sector and/or healthcare and life science industryStrong organisational, planning and project management skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesAdaptability and flexibility to changing prioritiesAbility to work independently and as a team playerExcellent skills using Microsoft Office Suite: MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS ExcelExcellent presentation, oral and written communication skillsAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, and clientsStrong networking skillsFluency in English

Desirable

Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsMultiple European languages would be a significant advantage, particularly German at C2 level or FrenchExperience of evidence generation through real world data and/or disease registries
