**Job Summary:**
We are looking for a dedicated Paralegal to join our Commercial Legal group, supporting various administrative and legal matters. Guidance will be provided initially, with increasing independence as experience grows. If this sounds like an exciting opportunity, apply now!
**In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**
+ Provides assistance to the VP, Commercial Legal and the Commercial Legal Leadership Team to ensure the Commercial Legal team’s strategic objectives are driven in an efficient and effective manner, including but not limited to:
+ Collating and analysing policies and information from different World Areas in order to support streamlining and consistency of process.
+ Organizing meeting cadences, taking minutes and following up and supporting action points with attendees
+ Coordinating training as required
+ Supporting Legal Operations with the implementation and enhancement of tools used by the Commercial legal team, such as the Contracts Lifecycle Management, Matter Management and Travel Approval tools
+ Collaborates with members of other Law Department functional groups in order to support Law Department wide initiatives;
+ Works with members of the Legal team and other Emerson partners to make sure the team is in compliance with administrative requirements;
+ Researches information on emerging regulatory areas as required;
+ Assists with analysis and compiling data for reports;
+ Maintains files, relevant databases, and general work processes to improve the efficiency and productivity of the Commercial Legal team;
+ Advances strategic improvement opportunities and other tasks as assigned;
+ Supports day to day administrative tasks such as preparing expense reports, collating documents requiring signature, arranging international travel, visas and itineraries, etc.;
+ Any other matters required to support the Commercial Legal team as requested by the VP, Commercial Legal.

**For This Role, You Will Need:**
+ Paralegal certificate or equivalent preferred
+ MS Office applications, with a strong ability to create compelling presentations using powerpoint
+ Excellent oral and written English
+ Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, reliable and good attention to detail
+ Willingness to work flexible hours to support a global team
**Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:**
+ Law Degree or equivalent experience
+ 2+ years of relevant work experience as a Paralegal either for a Law Firm or In-House
