Medical Manager

The Position

This role is suitable also for candidates “early-in-career” (2+years) within the medical management field.

As Medical Manager at Diagnostics Division you will demonstrate therapeutic area expertise and business understanding to identify and address the relevant medical needs of clinical practice and, to successfully support the optimal use of Roche products and solutions.

This role reports to the Head of Medical & Government Affairs.

Key Responsibilities 

Develop and execute a medical strategy with a specific focus on generating medical insights

Design and deliver medical training in his/her designated disease area and diagnostics products and solutions for customers and Roche internal roles e.g. Market access, Marketing, Sales and other

Provide medical approval by localizing, reviewing and approving medical content for and prior its external publication

Provide medical guidance and input to commercial, access and all other country teams as required

Provide medical review of promotional materials and other promotional activity as required by legislation and Roche Standard Operating Principles (SOPs)

Healthcare Professional (HCP) Interface - maintain existing and build new relationships with HCP and key opinion leaders (KOLs) in assigned disease areas of responsibility

Lead knowledge dissemination on high medical value diagnostic solutions via organization of non-promotional, scientific speaker programs e.g. scientific congresses and symposia or at Roche organized events

Monitor and keep track of medical content and scientific discussions on trends in clinical practice at scientific congresses and symposia to identify key trends, opportunities and risks and conclude respective insights for local action

Scientific Advisory Boards – organize Scientific Advisory Boards or expert meetings to identify unmet medical needs, and to discuss the relevance and economic impact of our diagnostics products and solutions for clinical practice and decision making as well as patient outcomes 

Work with the line manager to ensure in country compliance of all medical/business activities with local legislation, and Roche local/global SOPs 

Ensure the alignment of country medical plans in accordance with the global medical plans 

Participate in medical initiatives that are above country to further medical excellence

Travel expected within Slovakia: 20-30%

Who You Are

University Degree in Life Sciences - Medical Degree, Pharmacy and/or Biomedical Sciences or comparable

Slovak language at native level, English fluently

Proven experience (2+ years) as a Medical Manager/Advisor in diagnostic or pharma sector

Deep understanding of Slovak healthcare system and environment including its structure, policy, key members and scientific societies

Understanding of the role of IVD along patient journey 

Working experience in IVD-industry is a plus

Demonstrated experience in delivery of scientific presentations

Capability to develop relationships with external KOLs

Experience to perform in a complex matrix organization

PC literate, including Google Workspace (G-sheet, G-slides and database management)

Excellent communication (oral and written), presentation and educating skills

Outcome oriented planning, executing and decision making

Demonstrated analytical thinking 

Team player, strong interpersonal skills & client orientation

Salary starts from 3300 EUR gross/month. Final salary will depend on the level of skills, experience and qualifications. Roche Slovensko provides a 13th month salary.
