Shift Schedule:

1st Shift: Monday-Thursday 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Friday 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Overtime as business needs require

1st Shift Starting Pay: $21.70/hour

***This is a 1st Shift Manufacturing Support 1 position in the CI Tech department at the Sanford, NC Facility.***

Job duties include the following:

Continuous Improvement projects.

Assist with resolution of CI cards.

Provide tooling support to the line as needed including welding, machining, and custom fabrication

Follows and utilizes CPS principles of 5S, Continuous Improvement Idea Reporting, Waste Elimination, and Standard Work. 

Relies on independent decision-making and problem solving to complete job tasks.

Must meet deadlines.

Support Standard Work by conducting time studies.

Ability to multitask and prioritize work.

Provide support to the Manufacturing Engineers or Manufacturing Support 2 team members with Visual Instructions.

Utilizes systems such as MS Office, MS Visio, Lotus Notes.

Cross-functional communication to complete tasks.

Provide summaries to leadership.

Contributing team member

Physical requirements:

Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods

Ability to perform repetitive operations

Ability to lift up to 35 lbs

Basic qualifications:

Prior experience with welding, fabrication and metal working tools

Top Candidates will also have:

Self-motivated and self-starter

Ability to multitask and prioritize work

12 months of Product Assembler Experience

Advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications

Summary Pay Range:

$21.70 - $27.35

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
