Description The Retail Infrastructure Services team within Amazon Worldwide Grocery Store Tech is looking for a passionate and innovative Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our team. We have an opportunity to revolutionize the brick-and-mortar grocery shopping experience and set new standards for accessing the highest quality organic and natural groceries across the US, Canada, and the UK in Whole Foods Market and Amazon Fresh banner stores. As a leader on the team you will own and drive large projects across the Retail Infrastructure technology space. You will be a key member of tech initiatives and help your team drive forward technology solutions working with delivery teams, infrastructure engineers, database engineers, mobile engineers, and deployment program managers to create a best-in-class grocery shopping experience. Your team will facilitate technical whiteboard sessions to troubleshoot project implementation issues and remove barriers to project success, stand up cross-functional teams, establish trust with a variety of stakeholders, design solutions, remove blockers, and find creative ways to accelerate project delivery. Your experience working hands on and demonstrating the skills necessary for your team members is a must. Key job responsibilities The ideal candidate will be an exceptionally strong communicator, both written and verbally, and possess experience in tactical project management of highly technical initiatives, as well as strategic program management. They will be able to apply a variety of project management tools, methodologies and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle and exhibit demonstrated experience in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk management, reporting, and metric development/tracking. They will have experience hiring strong team members and developing and leading strong teams. A day in the life This leader will be hiring and developing strong team members that will work with engineering teams to develop solutions for our retail stores. The leader will remove barriers, manage trusted relationships with stakeholders, and negotiate with vendors. About the team This team is responsible for leading complex and challenging projects that will deliver innovative infrastructure solutions for point-of-sale (POS), self-checkout (SCO), service scale, mobility, and printing solutions to our physical stores.
