Shift Schedule:

1st Shift Starting Pay: $27.20/hour

Summary: Responsible for resolving issues and follow-up on purchase orders and resolve allocated grief issues.

Skills and Competencies:

Knowledge of various purchasing and MRP systems, receiving report processing, and state and federal shipping regulations.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Resolving all grief issues

Determining necessary action needed to successfully correct the problem

Making numerous contacts by phone, fax or email, to all parties involved in order to enter shipments and final receipts

Following up on orders not received per customer's request

Communicating with customer regarding status of order

Performing order revisions as necessary, including price adjustments, changing/adding schedules, opening/closing purchase orders, etc.

Analyzing and confirming the correctness of customer orders

Performing the setup of new supplier and customer information

Analyzing sources, verifying, and processing orders, and Serving as a specialist within the group and providing interpretation and problem-solving advice to others inside and outside of the department.

Training and development of new hires.

Monitoring exceptions and reporting trends day to day. Helps material planners to identify and fix exceptions.

Be a part of a team responsible for collaborating with suppliers to ensure material availability in a high pace manufacturing environment. Accountable for managing and analyzing $1M-$8M of inventory for opportunities to eliminate waste and optimize inventory. Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to achieve inventory objectives.

Review various reports and metrics to identify potential issues or opportunities. Determine necessary actions needed to successfully correct the problem. Communicating to all parties regarding status of order via contacts in person, by phone, or email. Performing order revisions as necessary, including changing/adding schedules, opening/closing purchase orders, etc. Serving as a specialist within the group and providing interpretation and problem-solving advice to others inside and outside of the department.

Qualifications:

Advanced Microsoft Excel experience required.

Knowledge of various purchasing and MRP systems.

Demonstrated experience in adhering to guidelines and/or procedures.

Ability to collect and filter information to achieve optimal decisions using critical thinking.

Quickly and accurately recall the specifics to situations.

Communicate effectively with succinct, but detailed emails; clear, accurate message over the phone or short sheet meetings.

Collaborate with internal and external customers to resolve problems.

Displays discipline and independent workload management.

Work under pressure and react professionally by handling stress productively and upholding ethical standards.

Have strong teamwork by being willing to help others and be open for receiving guidance.

Have a willingness to improve performance using new techniques/insights and learning from own and others’ mistakes.

Be dependable and reliable to complete tasks with priority with little guidance, successfully and repeatedly.

Summary Pay Range:

$27.20 - $33.95

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
