We are looking for an experienced in-house lawyer to join Roche Dia China Legal team as soon as possible. You will serve as a legal business partner to our Business Areas or Functions (“Internal Clients”) and provide professional legal services to support the healthy and sustainable growth of Roche Dia China.

Responsibilities:

1. Based on an understanding of the organization's business goals, strategy, and industry knowledge, provide professional, proactive, and commercially focused legal services and solutions, including:

(1) Conducting legal research and providing legal advice to a broad range of legal matters relating to the daily business of the Internal Clients;

(2) Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of legal documents, including but not limited to sales and distribution agreements, procurement agreements, and service agreements.

(3) Providing legal support to commercial, operational or strategic projects

(4) Contributing to the regular business meetings of Internal Clients

(5) Handling litigation, government investigations, and arbitration.

(6) Managing external lawyers

2. Execute the company's comprehensive program to manage legal risks, including:

(1) Providing legal support to establish, update, and optimize local guidelines/SOPs to comply with relevant laws and regulations, Roche policies, and industry codes.
(2) Delivering legal training to internal employees and third parties, such as distributors and suppliers.

3. Engage with the global lawyer team and participate in international projects, providing legal advice from a local law perspective.

Qualification

Bachelor degree in Law or above, admission to the PRC Bar

Fluency in English and Mandarin

Experience/Requirements

At least 6 years or more of professional experience in a multinational company or at a respected law firm, preferably in the life sciences industry (e.g. diagnostics, pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry).

Good knowledge in the following areas of law: Anti-bribery law, Antitrust law,  litigation/dispute resolution, data privacy & CBDT (Cross Border Data Transfer), contract law etc.
