Your role and responsibilitiesLean Challenge is a local and international competition where university students develop Continuous Improvement Projects based on methodology and principles of Quality Wins and Lean Manufacturing.In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain vocational experience through a temporary work placement. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.The work model for the role is: onsite #LI-onsiteThis role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Soluctions in San Luis Potosi.You will be mainly accountable for:• Lead a real Continuous Improvement project in a manufacturing environment.•Receive specialized training in Lean & CI methodologies.•Work in teams to solve industry challenges.•Present weekly updates to ABB managers.•Compete locally and internationally with top talents from Mexico, Puerto Rico, Brazil, and the U.S.
Qualifications for the roleWe are looking for innovative minds eager to grow. If you meet these requirements, this challenge is for you!Last three semesters of Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Systems, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Industrial Design, or related fieldsAdvanced, fluent, and conversational English (spoken & written). All presentations are in English, including the international final.Strong communication and presentation skillsPassion for Lean Manufacturing & process improvement
