As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset and Wealth Management, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

 

Develop and maintain robust backend services using Java, with a focus on scalability and performance.Demonstrate proficiency in AWS and designing scalable microservices-based solutions.Design and implement user-facing features using React.js.Build reusable components and libraries for future use.Optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability.Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and user experience.Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in both backend and front-end development.

 

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceStrong proficiency in Java and experience with backend frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot).Experience in AWS environmentsExperience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles. Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Redux or Flux).Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.A knack for benchmarking and optimization. Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git.Strong understanding of UX principles and ability to create intuitive user interfaces.Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, product owners, designers, and platform teams.
