Roles and Responsibilities
Drive processes to continuously improve the safe, quality, delivery and costs and ensure compliance with all governing specifications, codes, and standardsAdminister the NDT Program, responsible for NDT Level III duties to include processes, procedures, techniques, training, qualification, and certificationExperience in implementing and qualify new NDT processes, including Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonic, Visual, and Eddy Current, having a working knowledge of each technology and its strengths and limitations to ensure the proper inspection technique for the task..Ability to troubleshoot, provide technical leadership, and correct NDT processes while maintaining product and process flowImplement and qualify other assigned special process, procedures and techniquesTrain and mentor Level I and Level II NDT technicians in current methods and new technology both on the Shop Floor and in the ClassroomPerform process assessments and leadership in auditsResearch and implement new Inspection techniques and technologies to improve current processes. Ensure safe practices are used in compliance with all governmental regulationsIdentify, drive, mentor, and implement projects that improve overall production qualityRequired Qualifications
Bachelors Degree from an accredited university with at least 6 years of experience in an engineering or quality positionCurrent ASNT NDT Level III certification in Ultrasonics, Penetrant, Magnetic Particle or Eddy CurrentDesired Characteristics
Knowledge of Manufacturing or gas turbine repair industrials.Strong organizational, analytic, and problem-solving skillsUnderstanding of various measurement processes and control methodologies for Gas Turbine componentsAbility to work in cross-functional teams in a matrix environment with all levels of personnelStrong working knowledge of Manufacturing and Quality operationsDemonstrated oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsAbility to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlinesAbility to coach, manage, change and facilitate team performanceAbility to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutionsAdditional Information
