Lead Infrastructure Engineer - Cloud

As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer in the Infrastructure Platforms: Cloud Reliability Services TSE team in JPMorgan Chase, you will apply deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. You will continue to evolve your technical and cross-functional knowledge within and outside of your aligned domain of expertiseWe encourage you to continue to evolve your technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of your aligned domain of expertise. Your responsibilities will include applying your technical expertise to projects of moderate scope, promoting a workstream or project consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologies, and working with other platforms to implement changes. Job responsibilities

 

Applies technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scopeDrives a workstream or project consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologiesWorks with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processesExecutes creative solutions for the design, development, and technical troubleshooting for problems of moderate complexityStrongly considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications and advises on mitigation actionsTroubleshoot complex priority incidents by strongly considering upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications and advise on mitigation actions, while balancing the communication needs of each casePartner with engineering and product teams to ensure remediation/permanent closure of issues and to identify trending issues to drive product improvementDemonstrate a high aptitude for both learning and teaching as product teams are continually releasing new features and productsAdds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and proficient advanced experienceDeep knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessmentsDeep knowledge of one specific infrastructure technology and scripting languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.)Drives to continue to develop technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of the productDeep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Significant programming background in any applicable languageKubernetes, Azure, GCP, or Terraform certifications
