As a Lead Cybersecurity Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Runtime Compute Product Security Team, you are an integral part of a team that works to develop high-quality cybersecurity solutions for various software applications on modern cloud-based technologies. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for carrying out critical cybersecurity architecture solutions by identifying, creating, and communicating risk, mitigation options, and solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of project goals.
Job responsibilities
Executes creative security solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions and break down technical problems Minimizes security vulnerabilities by following industry insights and governmental regulations to continuously evolve security protocols, including creating processes to determine the effectiveness of current controls Works with stakeholders and business leaders to understand security needs and recommend business modifications during periods of vulnerability Conducts discovery, vulnerability, penetration testing, and threat scenarios on multiple organizational assets to identify and assess if vulnerabilities are present, and executes threat modeling for multiple applications including external applications interacting with the internal JPMorgan Chase network Implement and enhance security measures specifically for runtime products (e.g. EKS, ECS, and Lambda), ensuring comprehensive protection across multi-cloud environments Develops secure and high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
7+ years experience Hands-on practical experience delivering enterprise-level cybersecurity solutions and controls Advanced in one or more programming languages Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as continuous integration and delivery, application resiliency, and security In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems Practical cloud native experience Deep knowledge of one or more software and applications Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture Experience with threat modeling, discovery, vulnerability, and penetration testing Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Experience effectively communicating with senior business leaders AWS Security Certification Experience in network security would be beneficial, with the ability to apply this knowledge to multi-cloud environments
