As a candidate, you are encouraged to ask compensation related questions and have an open dialogue with your recruiter who can provide you more specific details for this role. **Line of Business:** Technology Solutions **Job Description:** The IT Operations Manager leads a team of IT professionals in providing a range of application support and services ensuring enterprise operating standards are met and business objectives are achieved. The IT Operations Manager will provide guidance, complex troubleshooting and drive root cause analysis at the domain level. This role involves planning, coordinating, overseeing the activities of the Level 2 support team to ensure efficient and effective resolution of technical issues, as well as being directly involved in the troubleshooting and often acting as lead SME on incidents and calls. The manager will work closely with technical partners, business units, and leadership to maintain and improve IT systems operations and resolve issues in a timely manner. **Key Responsibilities:** + Lead and manage a team of Level 2 application support analysts, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance evaluation. + Provide coaching, development, succession, recruitment, resource management and overall team leadership for team members and provide regular input into team members’ assessment of performance and development plans - identify opportunities and implement solutions to enhance productivity, effectiveness and operational efficiency of the business unit and/or team + Oversee the end-to-end support for application ecosystem they own, managing incidents and communications to business partners, technical leadership, and partner application owners. Serve as the Technology Application Owner (TAO) for designated applications, overseeing their health, compliance, stability, and alignment with TD’s enterprise technology policies. + Partner with change and delivery management teams to assess and coordinate application updates or deployments that adhere to enterprise change management standards + Provide support as SME for the enterprise application stack, including oversight over vendor support. + Responsible for leadership in overseeing teams, leading live incident calls, coordinating across multiple groups/vendors, and managing on call rotations. + Conduct root cause analysis and implement targeted remediation plans to address recurring issues. + Collaborate with the Delivery and Solutions Engineering teams to prevent or resolve production incidents. + Manage the integration of all systems, projects and technical interfaces to ensure a high level of service and support to the client and efficient system operation + Review, modify, and implement procedural processes and documentation using industry standards and best practices. + Provide technical leadership and insight to continuous improvement initiatives. + Ensure compliance with IT Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) and the department’s Business Recovery Plan (BRP) + Oversee the production of detailed operational and key service-oriented availability metrics + Support audits, compliance, and risk management activities relevant to application operations. + Ensure compliance and security by proactively identifying and remediating control gaps as well as supporting the technology risk management process. **Job Requirements:** + Extensive technical knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure with a focus on batch processing oversight and heavily integrated diverse ecosystem support. + Experience in scripting, enterprise infrastructure components, Azure, Active Directory (AD), Citrix, Ping Fed, SSO, encryption certificates management + Strong leadership, creative problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills. + Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure. **Depth & Scope:** + Responsible for managing multiple teams and/or projects with increasing degree of complexity and broad scope + Works independently and often autonomously in the management of projects, teams and operational disciplines and develops strategic thinking/ planning in the execution of work plans + May oversee new releases or projects typically focused on a specific product/system/application of moderate scope and complexity + Manages/Leads a group (e.g., Less Than 25) of IT professionals + Manages projects and teams (including financials) and advocates for the re-usability of architecture and processes by new business initiatives + Manages problem resolution, plans and strategies for operational advancement **Education & Experience:** + Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate + Graduate degree, preferred + 7+ years relevant experience **Preferred Qualifications:** + ITIL + Asset Management + Jira/Confluence/SNOW + intermediate networking skills and cloud skills + basic/intermediate knowledge of cybersecurity + monitoring tools like Splunk/Dynatrace/Datadog + Citrix, Remote Access, VDI Operations **Physical Requirements:** Never: 0%; Occasional: 1-33%; Frequent: 34-66%; Continuous: 67-100% + Domestic Travel – Occasional + International Travel – Never + Off hour work as need- Occasional + Performing sedentary work – Continuous + Performing multiple tasks – Continuous + Operating standard office equipment - Continuous + Responding quickly to sounds – Occasional + Sitting – Continuous + Standing – Occasional + Walking – Occasional + Moving safely in confined spaces – Occasional + Lifting/Carrying (under 25 lbs.) – Occasional + Lifting/Carrying (over 25 lbs.) – Never + Squatting – Occasional + Bending – Occasional + Kneeling – Never + Crawling – Never + Climbing – Never + Reaching overhead – Never + Reaching forward – Occasional + Pushing – Never + Pulling – Never + Twisting – Never + Concentrating for long periods of time – Continuous + Applying common sense to deal with problems involving standardized situations – Continuous + Reading, writing and comprehending instructions – Continuous + Adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing – Continuous The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
