Investment Banking - Corporate Finance Advisory - Sustainable Solutions Team - Associate

Job Summary

As an Associate in the Sustainable Solutions team within Corporate Advisory, you will be a key player in the execution of the firm's business. You will work with expert professionals at the heart of a leading global investment bank. Senior bankers will get to know you - both as a person and as a valued member of a winning team. You will experience training, hands-on learning opportunities, continuous mentoring and feedback, and numerous development opportunities. You will use your related experience to contribute to the firm's sustainability-related M&A execution and capital raising capabilities while helping build J.P. Morgan's franchise and reputation in the marketplace. You will develop strong functional skills in the major areas of investment banking and become a senior client executive who is capable of generating and executing your own transactions. Job Responsibilities

Working with J.P. Morgan product and sector teamsBuilding and completing complex analytical exercises, working with large data sets that link financial and sustainability data Supporting senior bankers in developing structured solutions for complex transactionsDeveloping a subject matter expertise at the intersection of sustainability, corporate finance and structuring Drafting management presentations, Board materials, and other materials for use in M&A and capital markets transactions or strategic client dialogue  Keeping abreast of key market developments, sustainable finance topics, and establishing knowledge of the target client base and relevant market dynamicsCreating thematic client content on key issues and market development 

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Prior work experience in an investment banking front office, or related, roleStrong accounting, finance, quantitative, corporate finance and business writing skillsPrior experience with energy transition, sustainability, and climate-related issuesUnderstanding of the transaction cycle and the steps in the process and is execution orientedImpeccable communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients and key stakeholders in other line of businessSelf-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independentlyProblem solver with the desire to create new solutions and products
