International Sales Associate-Payments

Join the team helping to support US Headquartered companies with their international business needs! The International Payments Specialist (IPS) team within J.P. Morgan’s Global Corporate Bank offers expertise in international working capital solutions for multinational corporates’ treasury and banking needs. 

As an International Sales Associate within our dynamic team, you will play a critical role in our growth strategy. You will assist the IPS team to promote international revenue generation by developing new business in global payments, trade finance, merchant services and foreign exchange for corporate clients. You will work in close partnership with the IPS team, global and regional Corporate Bankers and Payment Sales Managers (PSMs), as well as other Product Specialists from across the Firm to identify and support the broader banking needs and requirements of our clients. You will participate in a development plan designed for a progression of job functions to develop skills over time for a successful career within the firm and ability to pursue more senior roles within Global Payments. 

Job responsibilities 

Support the IPS in uncovering, scoping, and pursuing new international sales opportunities  Prepare for key client meetings including creating and updating presentation materials, performing client research, industry analysis, obtaining relationship details from across the firm Take the lead in collecting detailed relationship background and deal opportunity highlights to ensure all internal approvals are secured Support IPS with global coordination of response delivery to clients (e.g. RFPs/RFIs, multi-regional deals)  Partner with other sales associates and implementation colleagues to ensure a smooth handover of newly mandated international deals into a successful onboarding project delivery phase  Leverage partnerships with regional payment sales teams and product specialists to stay educated on new product enhancements and other regional developments, such as regulatory changes and evolving market trends  Provide oversight of deal pipelines and support regional portfolio reviews

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills  

2+ years’ experience in corporate banking, corporate treasury, finance, consulting or finance sales to global corporates  Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent 1+ years’ of Treasury experience   Interest in learning international corporate banking and global treasury Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills  Time management, organizational and planning skills with proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail  Persistent and detailed follow-up   Enjoys working in a client-facing role, with eventual opportunity through career advancement of managing their own portfolio of clients  Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment and learn via networking and peer to peer education
