  As an Infrastructure Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms team, you will have the opportunity to plan, design, install, configure, and support a highly resilient and stable Mainframe network infrastructure. You will be able to utilize your experience with software-promoten systems management using various scripting languages such as JCL, REXX, Unix Shell scripting, and zOSMF Workflows. You will also have the chance to showcase your aptitude and passion for developing software systems to solve complex problems through automation tools. Job responsibilities

 

Applies technical knowledge to assignments with a defined scope such as testing the performance of the infrastructure and understanding and verifying that requirements were successfully met Drives results, collects and analyzes monitoring data in test and production, and sees assignments through to completion Carries out day to day work assignments with some guidance and within documented parameters Escalates issues to appropriate leaders Develops considerations for upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications Provide logical connectivity between applications and mainframe subsystems Hands on experience on Performance tuning & Development of operational procedures Support TCP/IP encryption methods (IPSEC, AT-TLS, and TLS) and monitoring of protocols and cyphers aligned to company policies Hands on experience on Mainframe Network Product installations, customizations and evaluations. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Formal training or certification on infrastructure disciplines concepts and 2+ years applied experience Proficient knowledge of hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessments Strong understanding of VTAM, TCPIP, IP Security, SNA, OSA, FTP, SSH, SNMP, SMTP, JCL, SDSF, VSAM,SMP/E, Unix System Services, Parallel Sysplex, IBM system utilities, Network Tools – NDM, TPX, NetView, NetMaster etc. Definition, Maintenance and Modification of existing z/Series Network Products Manage & Support Transmission Products – FTPs (SSL), sFTP (SSH), & Connect:Direct Secure (NDM) Manage & Support Session Manager applications - TPX, Supersession Develop Mainframe Network Toolkits with the help of NetMaster, NetView, Rexx & CLISTS Maintain Mainframe Network Components: TCP/IP including DVIPA & DDVIPA configurations, IPSEC, IPFILTER, Intrusion Detection Services (IDS), Enterprise Extender (EE), SNA, VTAM, APPN, OSA connectivity interface to the Core Support TCP/IP encryption methods (IPSEC, AT-TLS, and TLS) and monitoring of protocols and cyphers aligned to company policies  Demonstrates knowledge on Network Monitoring tools (Omegamon, Mainview, Mainframe Tracing, Sniffers) z/OS system programming
