Job Description

Strategic Sourcing & Tender Management

Develop and implement sourcing strategies for international freight (air, sea, rail)Support global and regional tender activities – RfI/RfQ preparation, evaluation, and negotiationsEnsure sourcing processes align with company guidelines and compliance standardsPrepare and manage purchasing decisions and contracts in line with internal approval workflows.

Supplier & Stakeholder Collaboration

Build and maintain strong supplier relationships through regular communication and performance trackingLead negotiations and ensure service delivery meets required KPIs and compliance standardsCoordinate with internal teams (especially logistics operations) to understand freight needs early in the planning processAct as the key contact for Indirect Purchasing within the organization.

Contract & Performance Management

Oversee the full contract lifecycle, including renewals and amendmentsMaintain accurate sourcing records and documentationMonitor freight market trends and assess potential risks or disruptionsProvide regular reports on sourcing performance, cost efficiency, and supplier evaluation

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related fieldUp to 7 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or logistics (preferably in a manufacturing or engineering setting)Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office, and sourcing/procurement toolsStrong skills in cost analysis, supplier development, and supply chain optimizationEffective in negotiation, project management, and stakeholder engagementKnowledge of freight forwarding or transportation markets is an advantageFluent in English (negotiation level); Japanese or German is a plusCollaborative team player with strong communication and problem-solving skillsAble to manage priorities under pressure and work in intercultural environmentsWillingness to travel as needed
