Your role and responsibilities

The ABB HR Experience Process, Data and Technology organization strives to enhance the HR experience for everyone involved. We develop and implement business-driven strategies, enhance HR systems, and work closely with Human Resources to improve end-to-end HR processes, manage data, and oversee global systems. By taking a holistic approach, we ensure seamless integration of processes, data, and technology to benefit our people. Are you ready to take on a challenging role where you will be accountable for ensuring good governance across HR processes, data, and technology portfolios and service management? We are looking for a motivated individual to manage performance management for our portfolio and service management, establish governance forums, and report on overall performance. This role also includes managing M&A requirements from the HR M&A Team. You will lead a team responsible for PMO that sets project standards and services, and manage holistic risk and compliance activities, HR access authorizations, and the Document Management Solution. Additionally, you will manage Service Management and Test and Release Management governance and processes, supporting the HR Experience Organization as a whole. Your primary duties will encompass overseeing governance and performance management throughout HR portfolios: PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT AND GOVERNANCE:•\tStrategic Alignment: Define clear objectives that support Human Resources goals and prioritize projects based on strategic fit and potential value.•\tGovernance Structure: Establish a Portfolio Governance Board for oversight and resource allocation, and clearly define roles for accountability.•\tFrameworks and Processes: Implement standardized approaches (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and develop criteria for project selection, including strategic alignment and risk assessment.•\tRisk Management: Identify and assess potential risks regularly and formulate strategies to minimize negative impacts.•\tPerformance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress and provide transparent insights for informed decision-making.•\tChange Management: Ensure the framework can address new challenges and intentionally involve stakeholders to promote buy-in.•\tFinancial Oversight: Practice robust financial management across projects and monitor performance to implement cost controls as needed. SERVICE MANAGEMENT AND GOVERNANCE:•\tRisk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate service delivery risks to maintain reliability.•\tPerformance Monitoring: Track and report on metrics to measure effectiveness and satisfaction.•\tStakeholder Engagement: Gather customer feedback to refine services and create communication channels to promote collaboration.•\tContinuous Improvement: Regularly review and innovate to optimize service delivery. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:•\tReport on risk and compliance management and ensure all employees are aware of their responsibilities.•\tManage HR systems access and authorization processes, ensuring appropriate security controls.•\tLead a team of Application Owners and Functional SMEs to deliver and support the Document Management Solution for ABB HR.•\tEnsure responsiveness to M&A portfolio requirements and monitor delivery. Locations are flexible for HR roles, while role holders will be expected to work/collaborate with teams in European and US EST time zones.
