The Opportunity
In this Lead, Market Access & Government Affairs role, you will be reporting to [Senior Management Level - inferred from the need to provide consultancy and proposals to senior management2] and will be based in [Location - not specified in the sources]. This position will lead and direct the department to formulate and implement various subjects of market access and government affairs, implementing the company’s relevant policies to improve the company’s image and provide consultancy regarding health economic policies, and other relevant subject matters. You will lead a team and collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve the company's objectives.
What you will be working on:
Lead policy and market access strategy development and implementation and build cooperation with relevant agencies and NGOs.
Conduct strategic market, industry, and policy studies to provide consultancy and drive policy advocacy in favor of Roche.
Proactively identify opportunities to pursue favorable government policies focusing on reimbursement and price, and support tendering and business activities.
Develop and implement the market development China strategy, maintaining relationships with key stakeholders including KOLs, government, and NGOs.
Develop and maintain a highly motivated team, and manage the department's budgeting and cost-effectiveness.
Ensure full compliance with all relevant Roche policies and guidelines.
Undertake other projects or tasks as assigned by the line manager.
Who You Are:
Hold a bachelor's degree (health care related is a plus) and have established contacts in FDA, CDC, and other relevant authorities.
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
Have extensive experience (at least 12 years) in government affairs, PR, or corporate communications within a multinational pharmaceutical or medical device company, with a strong understanding of China's healthcare system.
Have proven experience in dealing with officials in the Central and local government.
Demonstrate leadership experience with a diversified team structure.
