The Position

As the Head of E2E Value Chain, Cell & Gene Therapies within Roche, you will hold a key leadership position responsible for driving the strategic shaping, design, and flawless operations of patient-centric value chains for Cell and Gene Therapies. Your role is crucial in ensuring the availability of materials at the highest quality, supplying global clinical trials, delivering therapies to patients across all Roche operating territories, and securely exchanging personalized health data. Leading a global organization of over 60 employees across multiple Roche sites, you will be integral to developing, shaping, and implementing Roche’s technical strategy in the Cell and Gene Therapy space as part of the Roche Pharma Technical Cell and Gene Therapies Leadership Team.

The Opportunity

Implement E2E value chain strategies for clinical and commercial CGT products, focusing on personalized delivery models and secure health data exchange, collaborating with Global Product Strategy, global affiliates, and stakeholders.

Design and develop manufacturing network strategies, integrating business continuity and risk management, while overseeing supply chain management and patient operations functions to ensure readiness for clinical trials and product launches.

Lead supply chain cost and risk management, deploying orchestration and exception management systems, and implementing a business insights team for developing COGS and turnaround-time models.

Co-lead the development of enabling processes, systems, and technologies for future CGT portfolios, aligning strategic investments and crafting industrialization strategies to position technical operations competitively.

Develop integrated strategies for materials thinking, qualification, lifecycle management, and data integration within the Cell and Gene Therapies pipeline, including actionable views of materials risk, COGS, and scalability.

Serve as an industry thought leader, advancing materials standards and operationalizing digital/data approaches, while effectively communicating with diverse stakeholders inside and outside Roche.

Address commercialization challenges for CGT, anticipating future industry trends, and demonstrating collaborative leadership and ownership.

Who you are

You have a Master degree in Life Sciences or Engineering and bring 15+ years of experience in the biotech/pharma industry. Your strong knowledge of supply chain management and E2E value chains in cell and gene therapies combined with proven leadership experience in global, complex organizations. Further, you bring:

Skills in collaboration, influence management, decision-making, leadership, and results orientation.

Effective working with cross-functional and multi-location teams.

Ability to quickly learn in unfamiliar territory and handle ambiguity.

Ability to operate independently and make accountable decisions.

Understanding of Pharma business and Biotech industry complexities.
