Job Title: Global Color Materials Supply Chain Leader

Work Location: North America-Cincinnati, Ohio

                           Southern Europe-Spain, Italy, Poland

 

Sun Chemical is looking for a Global Color Materials Supply Chain Leader to oversee global supply chain operations across various regions, including Europe, North America, Latin America, and Asia Pacific. This role involves managing inventory levels of approximately $700 million and handling the forecasting and supply planning for 8,300 active SKUs.

 

Essential Job Functions:

Manage a global supply chain team consisting of up to 6  direct reports. Lead the demand forecasting process, collaborating with the demand planning team to select the optimal forecasting model.  Track key forecast accuracy metrics and determine ways to improve overall forecasting performance.  Oversee the supply planning process, working with the supply planning team to set inventory targets and safety stock levels. Coordinate with MRP and DRP managers to establish replenishment models that optimize inventory levels. Conduct the S&OP process by collaborating with cross-functional team members, preparing slides, presenting material, assessing alternatives to meet forecasted demand volumes, and carrying out agreed-to supply plans. Focus on balancing demand with supply, considering capacity, capabilities, and constraints. Determine what to source and when, what to manufacture and when, and manage inventory levels through the planning process. Collaborate with commercial teams, product management, technology, and manufacturing. Ensure the execution of plans agreed upon through the S&OP process (ie, communication, timelines, deadlines, status check points, owners, etc.). Coordinate with logistics and warehousing to optimize inventory levels and actions. Interact effectively with all levels of the organization, communicating, influencing, and executing plans to achieve desired results. Key metrics will include on time in full, inventory levels measured by days on hand, plan to produce metrics, demand forecast accuracy, and dormant inventory reductions.

 

Required Education and Experience:

15 years of experience leading a global supply chain organization. Chemical industry experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or chemistry preferred. Willingness to travel. Knowledge of SAP, APO, and Kinaxis is a plus.
