Conducts field tests, collects samples, or manages potentially hazardous waste to perform research to identify, evaluate, and control environments. Performs routine and complex sampling and testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, and asphalt. Performs sampling in the field or lab setting. Maintains equipment and complies with safety and health regulations. Documents findings and creates reports to present findings. Complies with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety, etc., and delivers technical files and other technical documentation as required. Develops, trains, and educates junior technicians, guides the direction, and serves as a liaison with clients. Performs other duties as required.
