The Work You'll Do:
The Financial Analyst is a key member of the Sovos FP&A team and will play a pivotal role in driving financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making to support the company’s growth objectives. This position will collaborate with various departments and senior leadership to ensure financial objectives are met while maintaining accurate and complete financials.
More specifically you will:
· Support execution of monthly financial forecasts, as well as annual budgets and long-range plan activities.
· Monitor financial performance, including budget variance analysis, forecasting, and identifying trends
· Develop and improve financial models to support business decisions and strategic planning.
· Conduct financial analysis on cost-saving opportunities, revenue enhancements, and profitability improvements
· Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insight and drive operational performance
· Support senior leadership in business decision-making by providing detailed financial analysis and advice
· Assist in month-end processes, including account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financials
· Identify inefficiencies in processes and implement improvements to enhance productivity
· Support ad-hoc projects as needed
What do we need from you:
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA is a plus
· 2+ years of experience in a finance-based role
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
· Expertise in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems)
· Knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis techniques
· Ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
· Detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
· Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) a plus.
