Role Purpose 

The Finance Manager is responsible to support the company's Finance Department to achieve compliance with requirements established by local regulators, company's regional finance and statutory Accounting Principle's. 

Key Responsibilities 

Review and analyze reinsurance contracts. Manage and participate monthly and quarterly accounting functions including cession analysis, manual reinsurance calculations and adjusting journal entries. Recover reinsurance balances due to the company. Review cash flow projection on a weekly basis and determines the amount of cash to be transfer to investments. Collaborate with Annual Statement preparation. Prepare quarterly income tax calculation estimates. Collaborate directly with tax calculation estimates. Prepare audited financial statements. Prepare annual capital plan, and quarterly capital solvency calculation. Perform quarterly balance sheet fluctuation analysis. Coordinate external and internal audit work. Responsible for calculation and compliance with catastrophic Reserve. Prepares and file forms 480 to the Treasury Department. Investigates and settles debts with the Treasury Department. Supports Central America Business. Reviews budget and timely payment of solicitation. Perform specials projects and other related duties as assigned  

Knowledge 

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (Finance or Accounting). CPA Licensed,desirable. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to work independently without supervision. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point) and working knowledge of common application. Ability to communicate in a written and spoken manner for both English and Spanish.

Experience 

Five (5) years or more working experience in the relevant field. Two (2) years of experience with reinsurance. Two (2) years in audit firm. Two (2) years of previous supervisory experience.
