Finance Manager, US Consumables Finance FP&A

US Consumables Finance is looking for an exceptional Finance Manager to join the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. This role directly supports the senior leadership team within the US Consumables Product Family rolling up to broader North America Stores. The successful candidate will work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including but not limited to: Multiple category finance teams, other Product Family FP&A teams, Supply Chain Team, and Consumables / Consumables Finance leadership. The successful candidate should have experience working in high visibility roles, and be comfortable presenting to senior leadership. Candidates will also have strong business judgment and experience – retail experience is a plus. Key job responsibilities - Drive core financial processes for the Consumables business, including but not limited to: Month End Close (MEC), Annual Operating Plans (OP1, OP2, Guidance) Long range Strategic Plans, and Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews - Developing and refining Financial Reporting Models that scale across the organization - Executing Ad-Hoc analysis through Financial Modeling, using a broad range of tools including Excel, SQL, and COGNOS; aimed at providing thoughtful business insights and improving the depth of performance reporting - Driving continuous improvement on existing processes and mechanisms - Recommend, develop, and implement policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its profitability Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience Preferred Qualifications - 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience - MBA, or CPA - Knowledge of SQL/ETL - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) - Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results - Experience interacting with Senior Leadership, including full ownership of reporting mechanisms and communication of reporting insights Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
