This role manages facilities & maintenance activities for Caterpillar’s Sanford, NC sites. This is a unique role that will require work hours that vary from a typical schedule. There will be times when the successful candidate will be required to support activities and installations during weekends, holidays, and plant shutdowns.


This role will often be required to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will bring with them excellent communication skills and a track record of strict adherence to project management disciplines to effectively manage project scope, timing, costs, and budget. The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate a history of progressive levels of leadership & project management.


Responsibilities

Aligns actions with enterprise values and purchasing practicesSupervises a team of Facilities and Maintenance professionals and manages team performance using key metrics (KPI’s)Works with third-party Maintenance provider to safely maximize asset utilization/uptime and achieve joint process improvement goalsWorks with third-party Maintenance provider to upskill team members where opportunities for improvement existImplements programs to ensure well managed & maintained buildings & facilitiesResolves routine Facilities and Maintenance issues; escalates non-routine issues up through organizationIdentify, scope, quote, and execute facility improvement projects on time and on budgetResearch alternative vendors or suppliers; leads process of supplier selectionWorks collaboratively state & local government agencies to meet fire & building code requirements Leads use of RCCA & A3 problem solving tools to mitigate risk of downtime and process failuresOversees inspections, repairs, updates of facilities, and relevant operational assets/activitiesEvaluates the operation's effectiveness with current utilities and equipmentIdentifies, anticipates, and mitigates risks & challenges to the facility

Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or technical discipline from an accredited college or universityPrior experience in a Facilities or Maintenance leadership role at a manufacturing facilityPrior experience leading teams that maintain Mechanical & Electrical building systemsPrior experience managing third party service providersPrior experience in a project management rolePrior experience maintaining & relocating robotic weld systemsPrior experience maintaining & refurbishing machine centersPrior experience in a supervisory rolePrior experience leading deployment of site predictive maintenance programsThird party project management certificationNorth Carolina General Contractor’s license

Summary Pay Range:

$110,520.00 - $165,840.00
