Facilities Engineer (Senior)

The Position

The Opportunity
This position leads facilities operations and facilities improvement projects to provide Make-Access-Release and staff services to the site. 

As the Facilities Engineer (Senior), you are responsible for:

Overall accountability for assigned site support services such as GMP cleaning, janitorial, housekeeping, waste disposal, pest control, landscaping, laundry, transportation, cafeteria and facility fitness. 

Host and manage contingent workers supporting facility operations. Provide appropriate level of contractor oversight to ensure data integrity and overall GMP compliance.

Work with area owners and stakeholders to ensure a high degree of facility fitness and inspection readiness at RSTO. 

Lead audit preparations and engage auditors/inspectors and other relevant SMEs in internal audits and external  inspections on facility related topics as Subject Matter Expert

Lead or participate in SHE / quality RCAs in unplanned events and implement remediation actions as appropriate.

Provide facilities management expertise and participation in all phases of project design and execution.  

Partner with Contracts Management, Procurement and Finance to manage business process for operational contracts and/or purchase order creations and renewals.

Manage and review vendor performance of facilities services according to SOW.

Flexible and adaptable to work with various project teams and contractors on site. 

Ensure all facility operations and project work complies with site business processes such as quality, safety and environmental requirements; Work Documentation, PTW, LOTO, JSA, Impact Assessment and project closeout.

Safety, Health & Environment:

Comply with all RSTO's Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) requirements, never put oneself and others at safety & health risks, and report any workplace accidents, near misses and hazards as soon as practicable.

Observe all RSTO's site security measures at all times, and report any suspicious characters/objects & damaged security mechanisms to Site Security immediately.

Lean Production System:

Embody PT Lean Production System (LPS), while demonstrating a continuous improvement mindset and behaviors through the use and application of LPS tools for continuous improvement initiatives.

Who You Are:

Degree in Engineering discipline with minimum 5 years of related working experience is preferred

Diploma holders in technical discipline with minimum 10 years of related working experience is preferred

Experience in GMP environment and knowledgeable in quality systems. Exhibits a strong compliance mindset.

Related working experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical operating environment is preferred.

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Project, MS Office and SAP is an added advantage.

Strong inter-personal and communication skills, possess the ability to work independently, manage multitasks and deliver projects/tasks on time and within budget. 

Strong leadership and customer service skills, attention to details, accurate and thorough.

Must be team oriented and be able to lead and direct contractors/vendors of the facilities team.

Manage contractor/vendor qualification and work execution in compliance to safety, cGMP requirements.

Experience in SAP work order, project start-up and safety practices is an added advantage.
