As a Data Privacy Executive Director within the Commercial & Investment Banking (CIB) team, you will be part of a group dedicated to creating business impact through the governance and implementation of privacy requirements with a particular focus on US & EU privacy requirements. Job Responsibilities
Execute the 1st Line of Defense privacy operating model that adheres to firmwide requirements and applicable law. Lead and support programs to enhance the CIB’s privacy program. Advise on privacy requirements for new initiatives. Ensure effective execution of privacy and data protection requirements, inclusive of privacy risk assessments, and management of procedures. Actively partner with the business and privacy teams to deliver required results. Engage in the appropriate committees and forums to provide transparency and collaborate with stakeholders on delivery of privacy initiatives. Assist the business with the design and execution of controls to address privacy business requirements and mitigate risks. Support the business preparing for privacy related exams, compliance tests and audits. Provide transparency through governance, reporting and metrics that support the privacy framework. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of professionals in a way that promotes a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and supports their professional goalsRequired qualifications, capabilities and skills
6+ years building and managing privacy programs in regulated financial institutions Expertise in US financial privacy laws, such as GLBA and FCRA, and global privacy laws including GDPR. Experience in privacy program implementation and advising on privacy requirements. Demonstrated ability in dealing with varied stakeholder groups. Experience in influencing and implementing change in complex environments. Ability to articulate and demonstrate thoughtful rationale in process and product design decisions with geographically dispersed teams. Strategic thinker that can anticipate and resolve issues with a sense of urgency. Ability to communicate effectively with senior business leaders as well as technical stakeholders. Exceptional presentation and influencing skills. Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint. Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
Experience within the banking or financial services industry. Privacy certifications such as CIPP. Understanding of AdTech and online tracking regulations.
