This makes the transition even more exciting, as it drives us to constantly challenge our technology, our solutions and the way we operate.We are looking for an Engineering Manager with specialized expertise in power generation, distribution, or frequency converters to join our Electrical Solutions team. As an Engineering Manager, you will be leading a knowledgeable multidisciplinary team dedicated to working on some of the most challenging projects in the maritime industry. We develop electric propulsion, power and automation systems that will be the basis for safe, efficient and environmentally sound operation of various vessel types e.g. passenger transport, research, LNG, offshore wind installation and fish farming.The tasks may consist of:The Engineering Manager for the \"Electrical Solutions, Onboard AC Grid\" team oversees all engineering activities within their scope. They collaborate closely with the “Electrical Solutions, Onboard DC Grid” and “Automation & Control” teams to ensure the success of overall project performance. The Engineering Manager is responsible for defining and refining processes, tools, and guidelines for the team, while also providing improvement suggestions to the Senior Engineering Manager. This role includes people management tasks such as performance development appraisals, workload and capacity planning, talent management, recruitment, training, collaboration and deliverables follow-up, and frequent team meetings. Additionally, direct technical contributions to the team's work are expected as part of this role, as well as governing the finance and budget for the team.

Qualifications for the role

You have a bachelor's or master's degree in electric power engineering, or equivalent experience, and some years experience within project management, project lead engineering or a technical management role.We look for the ability to lead while being able to understand and contribute to solving highly complex engineering challenges. You are able to identify improvements from an overall process perspective while being able to make final decisions on specific technical aspects. Fluency in English is a requirement, as well as cultural awareness and mutual respect – we have an international workplace where we have clients and colleagues of different backgrounds and nationalities.
