As a Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector's Corporate Data and Analytics Services team , you lead a technical area and drive impact within teams, technologies, and projects across departments. Utilize your in-depth knowledge of software, applications, technical processes, and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives, while serving as a primary decision maker for your teams and be a driver of innovation and solution delivery.

Leads technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectivesMakes decisions that influence teams’ resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and proceduresCarries governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operationsDelivers technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domainsInfluences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teamsChampions the firm’s culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Formal training or certification on team leadership concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertiseExperience leading large feature teams of software engineers to deliver intensive data driven applicationsAbility to guide and coach teams on approaches to achieve goals aligned with strategic initiativesKnowledge and experience in Java and/or Python, with a strong understanding of scripting, automation, and data analysisExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including deployment and management of cloud-based applicationsExpertise in data platform technologies, particularly with tools like Databricks, for data processing and analyticsAdvanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityExperience in Data streaming and messaging frameworks (e.g. Kafka, Spark Structured Streaming)Experience in Data technologies handling complex data processing requirementsExperience building data pipelines and platforms on AWSDevelopment experience on private cloud, public cloud (using EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda,  EMR, Step functions, Glue), ETLs and Data Pipeline
