Director of Alternative Delivery

**This Opportunity**
WSP is currently initiating a search for a **Director of Alternative Delivery** to work out of our **Virginia Beach, VA** office. You will develop business opportunities and support project delivery as a member of our **Federal Programs Team** , a vibrant and growing organization that meets our clients’ objectives and solves their challenges. This is a global role and requires a global mindset.
The role requires the integration of professionals from our fast-growing Federal Programs (FP) Team with subject matter experts and engineers located in the various Business Lines and operating companies comprising the larger WSP organization to meet our clients’ objectives and solve their challenges. The **Director of Alternative Delivery** will be responsible for integration with the WSP Corporate Alternative Delivery team and compliance with the WSP Alternative Delivery processes for all Alternative Delivery pursuits considered by FP Properties & Building teams. This position will also focus on the USACE Civil Works program across all Districts to enhance WSP’s Civil Works portfolio and to increase the company’s market share of the USACE program. This position may also serve as the WSP Client Account Leader for some USACE Districts along the east coast, such as New England, New York, Jacksonville and Caribbean.
The **Director of Alternative Delivery** will work closely with the Army, Navy, Air Force and Federal Civilian Agencies Portfolio Leads as well as Management teams to identify opportunities/pursuits, develop solicitation responses, identify project staffing needs, develop fee proposals, and attend client interviews. Additionally, they will manage select programs and projects when appropriate and provide supervision and guidance to project managers as necessary. The Director of Alternative Delivery will work closely with WSP Operations Manager(s).
The **Director of Alternative Delivery** will have business development responsibilities and will travel as required to adequately engage with program clients and delivery teams and to develop effective teaming partnerships along the East Coast, including but not limited to New York, New England, Maryland, DC, Georgia, Florida and Puerto Rico.

+ Increasing WSPs’ market share of the USACE Civil Works program across all districts.
+ Client Account Leader for assigned clients.
+ Management of select programs and projects (Design-Bid-Build and/or Design-Build work).
+ Coordination with program/project managers.
+ Program/project management duties as necessary.
+ Exceptional CPARS ratings for portfolio projects.
+ Positive financial performance of assigned projects.
+ Project audit compliance (PMP, Safety, Risk Management, Contracts, Training, etc.)
+ Responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adherance to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
+ Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
**Who You Are**
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architecture or equivalent.
+ 15+ years’ experience in consulting, engineering, program management and/or business development with Federal contracts.
+ 10+ years' experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering/architectural teams.
+ Professional registration.
+ Ability to obtain a US Government issued Secret level Security Clearance.
+ Strong knowledge and overall understanding of Federal clients; US contracting industry; knowledge of Federal budgeting, industry business drivers and motivators.
+ Will travel as required to adequately engage with program clients and delivery teams and to develop effective teaming partnerships along the East Coast, including but not limited to New York, New England, Maryland, DC, Georgia, Florida and Puerto Rico.
+ Successful experience leading strategy and marketing for Federal acquisitions; demonstrated experience in working with cross-functional teams and a variety of stakeholders, and in developing and executing strategies to deliver business results.
+ Excellent knowledge and experience of servicing client needs and effective program planning and execution.
+ Demonstrated track record of managing large and complex opportunities and pursuits.
+ Strong and successful business development skills with attention to developing winning strategies and identifying significant differentiators.
+ Strong and successful negotiation skills.
+ Proven ability to communicate and under time constraints.
+ Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Active US Government-issued Secret clearance.
