Position Overview: As the IT Director for Chubb Digital Services, you will play a pivotal executive leadership role within our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute our business technology strategy and future application roadmap, ensuring alignment with our overarching business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, and deployment of platforms that support Chubb Digital Services strategy. Provide technical leadership and direction to product and platform teams, evaluating new technologies and driving innovation. Conduct scenario analysis and technical evaluations to assess the feasibility of proposed solutions. Manage the technology budget and resources, including internal teams and external vendors, for selected platforms. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and security policies across all platforms. Work with other teams to integrate platforms with existing systems and processes. Communicate technical strategies and progress to leadership and stakeholders. Manage selected Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and lead initiatives for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Extensive experience with cloud and digital technologies, with a proven track record in implementing and managing Agile-based organizations using DevOps practices. Hands-on experience in designing complex and innovative solutions, with the ability to analyze and guide engineering processes. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, particularly in a matrix reporting environment. Strong business acumen, with the ability to align technology strategies with business objectives. Experience with regulatory compliance and security policies in the insurance or financial services industry.

Technical Expertise:

Application Development: Over 10 years of hands-on, full-stack development experience using Microsoft technology stack or Java Enterprise stacks, with a solid understanding of enterprise design patterns. Cloud Solutions: Previous experience with cloud solutions (Azure, Google) and familiarity with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Legacy Modernization and APIs: Knowledge of designing, deploying, and managing legacy systems and APIs while ensuring compliance with data privacy and security regulations. Database Expertise: Understanding of database design models, performance optimization, and industry trends. Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs): Experience in defining and implementing NFRs for high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity planning (BCP) scenarios. API Development: Demonstrated experience in developing RESTful APIs using microservice architecture, Open API Specification, and/or creating specifications with Swagger.
