This role functions as a strategic business leader of the area, and continuously improves partnership programs and platforms, team processes and roles/responsibilities to ensure clear leadership accountabilities are in place. This role provides direction and assistance to other teams regarding projects; he/she thinks creatively and practically to develop, execute and implement new plans or programs. Success in the role will be determined by 1) the successful negotiation of current partnership renewals 2) the development of a partnership strategy to support key business initiatives and 3) successful negotiation of new partnership agreements and the activation of these new partnerships. The ideal candidate is a disciplined self-starter who is comfortable with new business development and is passionate about the opportunity. **CANDIDATE PROFILE** **Education and Experience** + 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related; MBA preferred. + 10+ years of relevant professional experience in strategic partnerships/business development, contract strategy and negotiations, partnership management and growth, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance. + Prior track record of “breakthrough” wins demonstrated through leading high-profile negotiations with large partnerships + Language Proficiency in Chinese **CORE WORK ACTIVITIES** **Partnership Strategy and Communication** + Provides leadership for the development and management of all strategic business partnerships + Identifies, builds and manages relationships with key executives at partner organizations to drive maximum value across the company + Leads and/or supports negotiations with partners, working closely with legal and finance on business implications + Researches, identifies and initiates dialogue/partnerships + Assists with the creation of strategic business plans, including defining partner value propositions and competitive strategies + Elevates awareness and effectively communicates the benefits and obligations of existing partnership agreements across the business **Card Management and Business Development** + Directly manage KPIs and financial performance + Develop acquisition strategy including budgets, priorities and channel goals + Partner with HQ to manage existing relationships + Lead negotiations in partnership with HQ + Market research and analytics to identify highest value product and geographic expansion opportunities **Managing Responsibilities with Stakeholders** + Develops and maintains effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders across the organization. Fosters a positive climate to build effective cross-functional teams that are committed to organizational goals and initiatives. + Updates stakeholders on key initiative wins and opportunities, responds to concerns and solicits feedback. Engages leadership to develop and execute action plans to address gaps. + Works closely with both HQ and continent teams to ensure successful partnership activation (Consumer Insights, Loyalty, Legal, Finance, Operations, Digital) **Managing Projects and Priorities** + Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work + Provides direction and assistance to other teams regarding projects. Determines priorities, schedules, plans and necessary resources to ensure completion of any projects on schedule. + Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems. + Thinks creatively and practically to develop, execute and implement new plans or programs.
