Data Management Lead

As a Data Management Lead within our Data Use Council, you will bring your expertise in data management to coordinate with various stakeholders to evaluate data use requests and present those assessments to the firm's Chief Data and Analytics Officer (CDAO). You will work closely with your partners to identify legal, contractual, operational, and reputational risks, and review models focusing on AI/ML and other emerging technologies. This role provides an opportunity to build and manage a team, set direction, and ensure compliance with the firm's AI/ML Governance and Oversight Firmwide Standard.

 

Job Responsibilities:
 

Build and manage a team of individuals responsible for all activities necessary to support the Data Use Council.Set direction for the team acting as an escalation point for issues.  This role will include oversight and monitoring of AI/ML use cases across CCB, ensuring compliance with the firm's AI/ML Governance and Oversight Firmwide Standard. This role will work directly with the AI/ML Governance Lead and Firmwide CDAO teams throughout the AI/ML use case lifecycle. Work with internal clients (such as Digital, Marketing, Consumer Banking, Modeling, and management) to evaluate data use requests and identify any necessary business requirements, guardrails, conditions, or controlsAssist clients to implement projects and viable solutions that align with firm wide data use best practicesPrioritize data use requests against product roadmaps and key deadlines, project go-live dates and risk assessmentsCoordinate review with key stakeholders and senior management and present data request overviews and risksUpdate status reporting on a weekly basisDraft and update process documents related to the Data Use Council review process.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Prior experience with Data Governance, Estimation/Modeling Development, Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Risk, Controls or Audit is a plusBachelor’s degree in business, legal, privacy, data management or related field with at least 5 years experience in those fieldsExperience with technical concepts and working with technical staff as neededKnowledge of PII, metadata and other data management conceptsProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, SharePoint
