As a Cybersecurity Architect III at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity and Tech Controls team, you serve as a seasoned member of a team that works to deliver high-quality cybersecurity architecture solutions for various software applications and platforms. Collaborate with cross functional teams of architects to implement technology solutions and communicate risk and mitigation options using best practices in support of the firm’s business objectives. Job responsibilities

 

Independently performs analysis and reports against security risks to protect data, applications, and infrastructure using modern toolsConducts reviews on existing security controls with minimal oversightIdentifies gaps in network architecture as defined by Senior Security Architects and creates detailed documentation of threats and mitigations for small software applications with few to no missing security threatsAdds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on cybersecurity architecture concepts and 3+ years applied experience. Experience creating cybersecurity solutions based on existing security parameters Ability to evaluate current cybersecurity technologies to recommend ways to optimize architectureHands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability​A solid understanding of product security fundamentals, with expertise in performing threat modeling and a working knowledge of exploit writing. Strong working knowledge of information and network security, IT risk management, and architectural concepts and patternsOverall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle​ Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as continuous integration and delivery, application resiliency, and securityFamiliarity with modern front-end technologies​ Exposure to cloud technologiesPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Experience in incident response. SANS certification, CISSP, and/or AWS certifications. Proficiency in coding in one or more programming languages. Strong knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., OWASP, NIST, ISO 27001). Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
