**Your Opportunity**
This is a career opportunity for a Senior Cultural Resources Consultant to join Stantec’s leading environmental team in Georgia. The individual will lead business development, manage cultural resources projects, and work collaboratively with others in the southeastern cultural resource practice. This team provides NEPA/CEQA analyses, technical studies, and project permitting to a wide variety of private and federal, state, and local government clients.

**Your Key Responsibilities**
Business Development
+ Engage directly in identifying, pursuing, and winning projects; lead and participate in proposal preparation for cultural resources.
+ Develop, maintain, and enhance Stantec’s market position with clients, approval agencies, and industry professionals as an outstanding service provider through coordination with Stantec’s marketing team, regional sector leadership, and local technical staff.
+ Participate in conferences and seminars and represent Stantec in business, community, and social situations to advance the Stantec brand and maximize exposure of Stantec’s subject matter experts.
+ Create and maintain internal relationships across Stantec’s practices and geographies to promote cross-selling of services.
+ Grow Stantec’s professional relationships with stakeholders and decision makers within key client accounts.
+ Maintain a clear understanding of current and future market and business conditions, revenue and profit potential, and major clients and competitors within the Gulf Region.
Project Delivery
+ Identify project-specific cultural resources design and regulatory requirements for projects according to the Client’s risk management profile, industry precedents, existing guidance, regulations, best practices, and lessons learned, and use that information to inform smart strategies.
+ Establish project objectives and procedures and lead teams on proposals, planning studies, designs, and due diligence.
+ Possess good business awareness and acumen and maintain a strong understanding of project management fundamentals: project scope, cost, schedule, and quality.
+ Grow internal and external networks and identify additional high caliber talent across a range of professional disciplines to join the Stantec team.
+ Provide mentoring and training for staff.
+ Complete work in line with Stantec’s Core Values and in accordance with our Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) procedures and Design Delivery Guidelines.
+ Demonstrate active commitment to Stantec’s code of business conduct and ethics policies.
**Qualifications**
Your Capabilities and Credentials
+ Proven business development and client relationship management experience.
+ Possess strong knowledge of project management and development workflows, applicable regulations, and risk profiles.
+ Independent individual possessing excellent communication skills: verbal, business writing, electronic communications, and presentations.
+ Display excellent time management skills with the ability to understand project and team goals, roles, scheduling, budgeting, and efficient use of time and resources.
+ Experience leading and conducting all phases of cultural resource work, Georgia knowledge required.
+ Proven experience of positive relationship with Georgia State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) and other regulatory agencies.
+ Section 106 and 110 National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) consultation experience.
+ Exhibit entrepreneurial nature and ability to lead others to achieve group results.
+ Understand state and federal regulations and adapt to client-specific requirements.
+ Possess strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills and make timely decisions.
+ Review and check the work of others for quality, accuracy and completeness.
+ Demonstrate strong mentoring and leadership skills and desire to encourage and coach staff.
+ Travel locally, regionally, and nationally as required for proposal and project needs.
**Education and Experience**
+ Master’s degree in archaeology or cultural resources related field.
+ Minimum 10 years’ applicable experience with proven project management and program development experience.
+ Secretary of the Interior Professional (SOI) qualified in archaeology or a related field.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
