Continuous Improvement Manager
Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager. The position will be based at our facility in Sumter, SC. We are offering relocation assistance. The expected annual salary range for this role is $108749.97 - $159499.96 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Join us as a Continuous Improvement Manager at Eaton's Sumter manufacturing facility, where you'll lead, inspire, and transform our operations to achieve strategic goals and objectives. **Key Responsibilities:** + Champion Kaizen/Rapid Improvement Events: Lead impactful events that drive significant improvements across the Sumter manufacturing facility. + Master Eaton Continuous Improvement Systems/Tools: Utilize Eaton Continuous Improvement Systems (ECIS) tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. + Craft the CI Roadmap: Develop and deploy a comprehensive continuous improvement roadmap tailored for the Sumter manufacturing environment. + Train and Empower: Act as the ECIS tool expert, training and empowering others to leverage these tools effectively. + Lead ECIS Deployment: Spearhead the deployment and assessments of ECIS, ensuring successful implementation. + Mentor and Develop: Coach, mentor, and conduct performance reviews for your team of CI Engineers and a CI Technician, fostering their growth and development. + Communicate Progress: Provide regular updates on CI status to the senior leadership team, showcasing achievements and progress. + Engage and Inspire: Actively engage employees in CI events, the Ideas Program, and 5S initiatives, promoting a culture of continuous improvement. + Support Operational Excellence: Collaborate with other areas of Operational Excellence, including EHS and EQMS, to drive holistic improvements. + Strategic Leadership: Serve as a vital member of the Sumter facility’s Extended Leadership team, contributing to strategy, direction, and continuous improvement efforts. + This role is perfect for a dynamic leader who thrives on making a tangible impact in a manufacturing environment and driving positive change. **Qualifications:** **Basic Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution + Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing / continuous improvement experience + Minimum of 1 year experience managing people and/or leading project teams **Preferred Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical, or other engineering degree from an accredited institution + Six Sigma Greenbelt Certification + Continuous Improvement (CI) Certifications **Skills:** **Position Criteria:** + Strong communication skills (written, verbal, computer) required + Demonstrated proficiency with basic manufacturing tools such as Lean, Six-Sigma, problem solving/decision making + Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, PowerBI, etc.) + Ability to lead and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support customer and manufacturing requirements **Additional Information:** **Physical Demands:** While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; reach at or above shoulder level; grip; and use hands to handle and feel.
