What You Can Expect
The Commercial Buyer will be responsible for reviewing demand and obtaining goods and/or services at the highest quality, lowest total cost, and maximize total value consistent with Commodity Leader sourcing strategies.
In this role the Buyer will be responsible for approving all orders at Commercial sites up to $100k. They will ensure compliance with the global sourcing policy while identifying commercial opportunities.
• Ensures all Commercial sites are aware of Sourcing procedures and policies.
• Educate Commercial sites on Sourcing KPI’s. (Contract coverage & cost savings).
• Identify savings opportunities using existing tools and internal stakeholders.
• Conduct RFX for projects up to $100k.
• Support EMEA leads when implementing EMEA strategies
• Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships.
• Support commercial sites when supply chain issues occur and help to find solutions with the support of the local Team.
• Reviews and approve requisitions between $20k - $100k
• Ensure purchase order execution is consistent with Commodity Leader strategies.
• Support other departments with SRM training.
• Work with other SME’s to resolve issues and improvements withing our SRM/ERP tools.
• Coordinate non-compliant PO’s with relevant stakeholders.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, accounting, or other business discipline would be preferred. Otherwise, education within Sourcing/Procurement area or equivalent job experience.
• 3–5 years’ experience in Sourcing/Purchasing and/or Procurement and/or Supply Chain Management.
• Experience in Medical Device Manufacturing preferred.
Professional experience:
• Knows the criteria, process and tools for measuring and recording purchasing performance.
• Negotiation and managing stakeholder relationships.
• Ability to quickly and accurately generate action requirements based on ERP System outputs.
• Spreadsheet skills and proficient use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and ERP systems experience required to support procurement decision making.
• Must be a self-starter, self-managed, effective team player with excellent analytical / problem solving skills.

• SAP Ariba & SAP SOP, Microsoft Office (excel, word, power point, etc)
