Job Responsibilities:
Fabricates component parts. Operates and sets-up a variety of machine tool equipment including power mill, lathe, numerically controlled machine tools and other hand and power equipment of similar complexity. Reads and interprets blueprints, production diagrams and assembly drawings. Makes measurements and shop math calculations relative to tolerances, dimensions, tooling, feed and speed. May inspect fabricated parts. Check height, depth and thickness using vernier calipers, gauges, and other precision-measuring instruments. May prepare recommendations to modify shop methods or processes, relative to improved productivity and quality. May provide numerical control (NC) programming support.
Education and Experience:
Typically requires a High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1+ years of directly related experience.
