As a Category Manager, your primary responsibility will be to support the NSC Procurement Department for the North America-based Eurofins companies. You will typically be responsible for one or more of the Spend Categories (e.g. Consumables, Clinical, Service Contracts, Capex, Logistics, IT, Indirects or others ) and refine processes as well as execute new category strategies as they pertain to current projects. Eurofins is searching for a candidate that possesses the following skills:
Managing a purchasing team and overseeing a portion of the purchasing scope within the US/Canada Purchasing division.Full end-to-end ownership of the team and associated categories in scope, including project identification, sourcing leadership, and prioritization in alignment with the Category Manager. Responsible for managing the savings plan to deliver significant value.Team Leadership in Sourcing Integration for new acquisitions by engaging suppliers to harmonize pricing and payment terms, ensuring a smooth transition.Ownership of the overall project pipeline while assisting the team in developing a robust pipeline. This includes prioritizing projects, appropriately assigning resources, and ensuring the team maintains a sharp focus on delivering value to Eurofins.Obtain significant cost savings in your Categories of scope/Projects for Eurofins companies with increasing level of quality and lower delivery time.Managing relationship with stakeholders up to Business Line Leadership and effectively collaborate with key stakeholders to understand the organizational priorities. Influence BU leaders and support the team through the change management (including set-up of test plans) to ensure sourcing practices, processes and tools are adopted across the organization.Sound analytical skills and use of Excel to conduct both executive and detailed level spend analysis, analyzing trends, ability to link and leverage spend and find savings opportunities.Regular reporting of results and preparing reports and presentations for management and communicating key insights to stakeholders.Ensuring the integration of key organizational initiatives, such as supplier diversity, sustainability, cash flow improvement, automation, and digitization, into the team's work plans while actively tracking sustained progress on these initiatives.Supporting the team and/or leading negotiations with suppliers across a spectrum of complexity, from straightforward agreements to intricate, multi-faceted contract, often collaborating with supplier leadership.Cultivating and managing supplier relationships at the leadership level through regular business reviews to align and implement strategies and goals. Additionally, serving as the escalation point for suppliers on major issues to ensure swift resolution and continuous improvement.Strong understanding of legal and contractual issues with experience negotiating complex supplier contracts, ensuring comprehensive spend coverage. Oversee supplier selection, RFP processes, negotiations, contracting, and supplier performance management, ensuring the team is aligned and effective in these areas.Foster a strong knowledge and intelligence base for assigned categories, encouraging collaboration among team members to understand market dynamics and suppliers.Model resilience and effective multitasking in a fast-paced environment, guiding the team to balance operational needs with value-driven purchasing.Ensure the administration, implementation, compliance, and enforcement of strategies, reinforcing accountability within the team.Drive sourcing process alignment through project management, ensuring the team adheres to compliance regarding scope, timelines, deliverables, total cost of ownership, quality, and budget.Guide the team in leading negotiations for multi-site group contracts, maximizing cost savings and enhancing overall value for the organization.Cultivate strong relationships with external suppliers, promoting collaboration and open communication among team members.Serve as the Purchasing Business Partner for several legal entities, acting as the primary point of contact for BU leadership.Oversee various reporting processes as defined by team objectives and management requirements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in deliverables.Lead the review of Purchase Order requisitions in Coupa, ensuring the team achieves best value sourcing for the scope managed.Supervise e-catalogue and pricing management in the procurement tool, conducting regular compliance checks and guiding the team in maintaining standards.Lead and integrate the assigned portfolio of spend related to post-acquisition activities, ensuring a smooth transition and alignment with organizational goals.Manage both sourcing and operational scopes within purchasing, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance.Utilize Excel, including pivot tables and standard functions, to analyze data, helping the team make informed decisions based on insights.Leverage experience with Coupa Source-to-Pay to mentor and guide the team, promoting best practices in its use.Exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills and communication, fostering a collaborative team environment and strengthening relationships.Lead the team in applying strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively address challenges and drive continuous improvement.Coach and train Senior Sourcing Specialists, Sourcing Specialists and Associates, fostering their development and enhancing overall team capabilities.QualificationsBasic Minimum Qualifications (BMQ):
