Buyer Tender Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Tender Buyer to help us shaping the future. Based in Milan, within the Purchasing Department of the Transmission BU, reporting directly to the Strategic Tenders Coordinator, the candidate will have the following responsibilities:

Execute spend analysis to define purchasing strategies of the Projects assigned

Define the most suitable contractual strategy relevant to the Projects assigned

Manage the RFQ cycle guaranteeing compliance with the budget, timing, contractual requirements

Implement purchasing procedures and processes

Negotiate contractual and pricing strategy aimed to guarantee cost saving in the frame of a suitable technical alignment

Guarantee compliance with the Purchasing governance in Group and BU Processes

Promote Purchasing early involvement and the early engagement of Suppliers 

What you will do

Support technical department during Bidding phase (e.g. Suppliers selection/ Acting as focal point for communication with Suppliers)

Define the best strategy to engage strategic Suppliers during Bidding phase

Strategically select opportunities for Pre-Bid Agreements

Manage complex contractual negotiations (i.e. FIDIC, LOGIC, BIMCO) ensuring, with the support of the legal department, the necessary back to back with the main contracts

Carry out audits at suppliers

Optimize purchase order process

Support business with vendor life cycle management measuring supplier performances

Scout the market to expand Suppliers basis for strategic commodities

 

Who you are

Previous experience of at least 2 years

Solid professional experience as a Sourcing specialist - buyer developed into multinational companies with matrix organizations

Familiarity with complex contracts (EPC contracts/FIDIC etc.)

Strong negotiation skills

Determined, enthusiast and committed to manage complexity and challenges

Excellent team building abilities

Customer oriented

English fluent

Advanced communication skills, both verbally and writing
