Job DescriptionThe Business Intelligence Superintendent leads the BI department and is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of BI strategies.
This role involves managing a team consisting of BI Analysts, ETL Developers and a BI Architect, to ensure the delivery of high-quality BI solutions that support business decision-making.
The BI Superintendent collaborates closely with other optimization teams to align project roadmaps, ensuring adequate capacity management, project staffing, and the adoption of BI best practices across the organization.
KEY OUTPUTS And ACCOUNTABILIES
Strategic BI Planning: Work with the Manager Systems and Technical Delivery to develop and implement a comprehensive BI strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives, ensuring that BI infrastructure and initiatives enable and support business decision-making processes
Team Leadership and Development : Lead and manage the BI team, including hiring, training, and professional development. Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
Project Management: Oversee BI projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. Collaborate with other teams to align on project roadmaps and ensure adequate resource allocation and staffing.
BI Solutions Oversight: Ensure the design, development, and maintenance of BI solutions meet business needs. Oversee the integration of BI tools and platforms for data analysis, visualization, and reporting
Best Practices and Standards: Drive the adoption of BI best practices, methodologies, and standards across the team. Ensure data quality, integrity, and security are maintained at all times.
Stakeholder Management: Act as a liaison between the BI team and other optimisation departments and line. Communicate BI strategy, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are managed.
Technology Evaluation: Stay abreast of the latest BI tools and technologies, evaluating their applicability to the organization's needs and integrating them into the BI architecture as appropriate.
