What You Will Do

Operate and perform preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance/repair on high pressure boilers, turbines, high voltage generators, and auxiliary equipment at an on-site cogeneration plant that produces electricityOther equipment maintenance includes coolers, steam chillers, air compressors, water softeners, fire pumps, distribution equipment and monitoring equipment, condenser water cooling towersTroubleshoot equipment to find solutions; make repairs & modifications to equipmentMonitor control board and regulate equipment according to procedures and information obtained from recording and indicating instrumentsResponsible for parts ordering and inventoryOther duties as assigned

Position Details:

Location: Naperville, ILWork hours: 12:00AM – 8:30AM, Tuesday - Saturday OR Sunday - ThursdayCompensation: $38 / hour to start increasing up to $42.50 in the first 2 years (increase every 6 months upon successful completion of training)

Minimum Qualifications:  

High School Diploma/GED2 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or military environment OR a technical degree or diploma in a maintenance mechanical/electrical discipline ​Experience with pressure steam plant operationsExperience with absorption/steam chillers operations

Physical Demands:

Position requires climbing laddersPosition requires lifting 75lbs.Position requires work in confined spaces, heat and at heights

Preferred Qualifications:

Formal vocational training in plant maintenance activities with an emphasis on industrial applications or equivalent job experience in electricity, power distribution, industrial electrical wiring, mechanics, machine operations, general plumbing, heating ventilation, and air conditioning, boiler operations.1 year of experience with PLC based applications in an industrial environment1 year of plumbing, pipefitting, pump repair and rebuilding experienceExperience with pumps, welding, bearings, electrical safety, forklifts, gears, hydraulics, valves, and rigging.Experience in a TPM or Lean Six Sigma environment Refrigeration CertificationWelding experienceSnow Removal ExperienceStationary Engineers License

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:

$38.00/hr Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
