Job Description

With access to specialized equipment and best-in-class instrumentation, you will collaborate with a team of highly trained scientists and study directors to rapidly build upon your existing skills set.

Eurofins Agroscience Services is searching for a Beekeeper/Research Technician to work with our team in Mebane, NC.

Responsibilities include:

· Manage the beekeeping operations. Maintain healthy hives and apiaries for production and research projects

· Participate and monitor studies placed within organization

· Maintain study data and facility records in organized manner

· Sample collection and documentation

· Assist with trial applications

· Participate in periodic GLP training

· Domestic travel and overtime may be required

Skills:

· Computer and organizational skills are a plus

· Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivated, adaptable and a positive attitude

· Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions and comply with company policies

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

· Associate degree or equivalent; high school diploma with appropriate experience

· Extensive knowledge of beekeeping operations; basic beekeeping, hive management, health and pest/disease management.

· Queen rearing and grafting.

· General knowledge of agriculture and greenhouse operations

· Ability to operate farm and greenhouse equipment, including tractors and spray equipment.

· Ability to perform farm and greenhouse operations, including planting, maintenance, and harvest of agricultural commodities

· Willing to work outside normal hours

· Valid driver’s license

· Experience with EPA and OECD GLP studies is a plus

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Mebane, NC are encouraged to apply
