Job Title:Associate Director, Professional Services Procurement
Job Overview:The Associate Director, Professional Services Procurement will direct purchasing initiatives regionally or globally across different business functions to identify opportunities from vendor expenditure and make appropriate recommendations to operating management. The role ensures adherence to the IQVIA Transnational corporate purchasing policy, which encourages vendor competition.
Essential Functions:
Extract spend data from accounts payable or other databases and prepare spend analysis by category in various formats to highlight potential opportunities.Oversee the extraction of spend files from vendors to create baseline spend for key purchasing categories.Identify purchasing programs where change will impact the business, develop and agree implementation plans, and participate as a key member of change teams.Identify and agree with key stakeholders on purchasing team membership, purchasing process steps, and timetable.Prepare and present purchasing recommendations to management.Benchmark and validate opportunities by Requests for Information, prepare and issue competitive Requests for Proposals.Manage and build relationships with internal stakeholders to identify purchasing opportunities and programs from business plans and assist with change management.Manage vendor relationships using agreed scorecard methodology to drive continuous improvement (price, service levels, new ideas, etc.).Develop purchasing plans, priorities, change programs, and agree and implement vendor management programs.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required.10 years' experience, of which five should be in supply chain management, materials management, purchasing, or procurement, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.Knowledge of purchasing methodologies, principles, theories, processes, and practices.Proficiency in MS Office applications.Strong analytical and numeracy skills.Ability to identify financial issues, develop and execute mitigating actions.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Well-developed influencing skills.Ability to manage conflicting priorities.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, and clients.IQVIA is a leading global provider of clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence to the life sciences and healthcare industries.
