Primary Responsibilities:
Building and supporting data solutions with a focus on quality, performance, scalability, and resilience Participating in data solution planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and documentation activities Driving consistency and patterns for data quality, data transformation, and data wrangling Participating in operational workflows, including code reviews, change management, and release management Providing accurate estimates and delivering on commitments in an efficient and effective manner Providing support and guidance to the business concerning data artifacts, solutions, and analysis Providing production support as required to support business operations Assisting in team operational, solution, and process improvement initiatives Having a passion to learn, grow, and teach others both technically and professionally Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems or other technology-related fields Microsoft Data or Azure-related certifications 5+ years of data solution development and documentation experience with a focus on quality, performance, scalability, and resilience using Microsoft SQL Server technology stack, with recent experience using Azure Data services 5+ years of experience developing ETL solutions for a wide variety (10+) and number (100+) of data sources 5+ years of experience using TFS or Azure DevOps for data solution management and delivery 2+ years of experience using Azure services, including Data Factory, BLOB/Container Management, Security, Virtual Machines, Active Directory, App Plans, Application Insights, and API Connections 2+ years of experience with Azure Data Factory 2+ years of experience programing with Python 2+ years of experience with Azure Synapse Experience with other data-related Azure technologies Experience using Tableau or PowerBI for reporting and analytics Experience with integration between Azure and Salesforce Experience using APIs as a data ingestion source Proven ability to work with teammates, customers, and partners to design robust and efficient solutions Proven ability to gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into technical specifications Proven ability to work with project managers to accurately evaluate and scope work Proven ability to work in a team environment and constructively support and teach others Proven ability to clearly explain technical issues in a way non-technical people can understand Proven proactive, decisive, action-oriented individual with strong written and verbal communication skills Proven excellent interpersonal, leadership, collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation skills Proven ability to be broadly focused and manage multiple efforts concurrently Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, including staff, business stakeholders, and all levels of managementAt UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
