Job responsibilities
Regularly leads and mentor a team of mobile application and full-stack developers, fostering collaboration and growth.Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersDrives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processesServes as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focusActively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life CycleInfluences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologiesAdds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respectRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceExperience leading mobile technologists to manage and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertiseHands-on practical experience in one or more mobile application development environments, AndroidAdvanced in Jetpack Compose, Java, Kotlin, Android Studio. Experience writing unit tests using JUnit or Kotest or any modern frameworkExperience working with Multimodule code using CLEAN architecture. Experience with the MVVM and MVP design pattern and other relevant architecture patterns. Experience with Dependency injection pattern using Dagger or any other framework. Experience with best practices in mobile design (UI design guidelines, Multi-threading, Asynchronous operations etc)Good knowledge of core Android libraries and frameworks like Compose, Coroutines, Flows, RxJava, Retrofit, Security.Experience of Java/J2ee, Spring, Springboot, building REST web services @ internet scaleExperience on cloud engineering including AWS, Kubernetes. Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)Practical cloud native experience and mobile application deploymentPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Web application development experiences. Experience with modularization and dependency injection. Appreciation for Accessibility and understanding of how to meet Accessibility requirements Understanding of Mobile Application Security considerationsExperience with React Native with feature flagging and A/B testing methodologiesExperience in the FinTech sector.
