Your role and responsibilitiesThe After-Sales Support Specialist in Spectroscopy is responsible for providing technical assistance and support via phone or email to customers using our analyzers. They address technical issues, conduct user training, and maintain equipment to ensure optimal customer satisfaction.Main Duties:•\tDiagnose and resolve issues remotely.•\tRespond to technical inquiries from customers and propose suitable solutions.•\tPerform tasks in compliance with established standards, guidelines, work processes, policies, and procedures.•\tAssist with customer service activities related to the ICOS product line (Sensi +).•\tEnsure a high level of customer satisfaction.•\tContribute to achieving and exceeding the service department's sales targets.•\tTrain customers on the use and maintenance of equipment.•\tCollaborate with internal teams (R&D, production, commercial) to improve products and services.The customer service specialist is based in Quebec (Qc, Canada). However, the nature of the position may require occasional travel to both customer sites (United States and International) and various ABB offices.
Qualifications for the roleDegree in physical engineering or a bachelor's degree in physics, chemistry, electronics, or other related fields.Alternatively, a DEC in physics, chemistry, electronics, or other related fields with 3 years of relevant experience in technical support, after-sales service, or maintenance of scientific instruments.Knowledge of spectroscopy analysis is an asset.Excellent knowledge of English and French (written and spoken). French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis. Strong communication skills, customer satisfaction focus, attention to order and quality.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Good interpersonal skills and the ability to train and support customers.Problem-solving skills.Perseverance, initiative, punctuality, and professionalism.
