Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Accountant (Financial Analyst) to join our team who will have the opportunity to champion our Global Finance Transformation by providing quality analysis from our new Center of Excellence.
This role supports a key business division within Caterpillar, responsible for the manufacturing and sale of world-class products that are used in various applications across the world.
This role will not only enhance one’s communication, presentation and financial analysis skills through challenging job responsibilities and regular interaction with leadership but also provide opportunities for collaboration and networking across the enterprise.
The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore, Whitefield Office
What you will do
Job Role and Responsibilities
The position is primarily focused on business unit sales reporting and analysis. Areas of responsibility include:Internal profit center accounting, focused primarily on sales and transfer price analysisEstimating various forecast and budget scenarios as needed based on changing business conditionsFinancial accounting including consolidation, analysis and communication of division or multiple business units’ results / explanationsPresentation and explanation of results and forecasts to managementProcess Transition & improvement
Performing the tasks related to the transition of the projects in line with COE scope of work, timelines, business requirements and defined metrics/KPIsParticipating in knowledge transfer sessions, defining and owning the documentation (instruction manuals and scorecards/trackers)Partnering with multiple global stakeholders on day-to-day operationsIdentifying and leveraging on tools and technologies to transform processesDriving continuous improvement via simplification, standardization and automationEmbedding change management best practicesWhat you will have.
Accounting tasks are of high complexity. Incumbents will demonstrate knowledge and ability to handle accounting issues independently.Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex financial data, trends, and patterns.Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of Financial Reporting, FP&A and month end processes; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports and identify and resolve discrepancies.Advanced Excel, PowerBI, PowerPoint presentations, and other financial reporting software and advanced reporting tools such as Axiom and AlteryxExperience working in a global environment with multiple stakeholders to drive outcomes; process transitions and transformations in a virtual environment.Self-starter who works well independently and on a team, with excellent communication skills understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques.Ability to quickly learn Caterpillar management reporting methodology and knowledge about products, suppliers, and consumersCA, CMA or MBA Finance with 5-7 years of progressive experienceAdditional Information:
