Account Director

Responsible for a portfolio of clients and prospects with accountability for retention of clients and new business development. Will manage and develop client and Willis relationships and grow portfolio within the business unit and cross selling to other WTW business units.

The Role

Ability to understand a client’s or prospect’s business, situations, opportunities, problems and key issues Ability to manage relationships and negotiate placement with the insurance market Prepare client and prospect presentations  Work with Sales Team in determining appropriate solutions and structuring and pricing the deal Assist in Identifying appropriate markets and determining placing strategy Participate in information gathering exercises. Ensure ongoing compliance with WTW guidelines and procedures. Ensure good relationships and communication with other WTW colleagues A thorough understanding and an expert real time user for all relevant systems

The Requirements

Preferably ACII qualified or working towards the ACII qualificationA proven track record in Insurance Broking or Underwriting is essential with experience in the Power and Renewables sectorA good knowledge of the insurance market to address client and technical issuesGood communication, negotiation and interpersonal skillsMethodical and innovative naturePrepared to accept responsibility Excellent technical skillsGood presentation abilitiesAbility to assimilate and apply large volumes of information rapidlyNegotiation skills coupled with the ability to be flexible and innovativeAbility to work both independently and as part of a wider teamAble to prioritise, manage deadlines and work under pressureComfortable explaining complex concepts and making recommendations to clients/client servicing teamsMust be able to forge links between broking and other WTW client servicing teamsAbility to adapt personal style to work effectively with a wide range of clients, colleagues and underwritersMust be prepared to work with integrity and openness, complying at all times with FCA requirements.Good IT skills with excellent Excel usage capability
